There are a lot of solar companies seeking to grab some cash in the Florida Keys. Some call themselves neighbors, professionals and advocates. These companies and persons falsely claim to be experts, supporters and the go to source for low cost, high quality and fast solar installations. Anyone who actually builds anything in the real world knows only two of those three is possible. Low cost done fast will not be high quality and so on.
The “solar neighbor’s” claim only they know what is best while they mislead their victims, followers and donors that installing solar as easy as ordering cable TV services or buying an appliance online. This Washington DC based outfit does not have a single person in the organization with any construction, electrical or engineering experience. They don’t even have a certificate from an online solar course let alone a professional license. How does anyone call themselves an expert with zero real world experience? They make false claims and build nothing while they fill their Washington DC bank account with millions off the backs of real solar professionals.
These “not your neighbor” know it alls exist only to rake a $600 fee off of every solar installation done by qualified professionals. They use volunteers, online fake news and webinars to entice membership, beg for donations, likes and followers. None in the company has designed, built or install anything, ever! They hail from Washington DC, California and New York so they know basically nothing about the very unique environment, ecosystem and challenges of building anything in the high heat, winds and salt of the Florida Keys.
Truth is these “not your neighbors” literally welcome any company to “bid” while they skim thousands of dollars from every project performed by real professionals. Most of the “invited bidders” are start-ups, newbies and wanna be’s who are not experienced in the first place. Meaning, they are practicing on your roof and are no substitute for proven local solar professionals.
