Sales & Account Manager

Florida Solar One is looking for a Sales and Account Manager that is ready to jump in and help our growing business.

The ideal candidate will find him or herself immersed in an educational environment as they grow and become more and more responsible for ensuring the company’s strategies are always the top priority for all installation services. Sales & Account Managers interact directly with customers and are responsible for ensuring our products are installed safely, properly and on time without exception.

Responsibilities:

  • Taking incoming calls from existing and potential clients
  • Setting appointments and visiting locations of potential clients
  • Supporting the installation team as they install solar panels, storage and other electrical equipment
  • Estimating and forecasting projects 
  • Documentation and processing of permit documents and applications 
  • Owner operation training and author of all O&M manuals
  •  Act as commissioning agent for monitoring systems
  • Additional duties required as needed

Required Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal/human relations skills
  • Strong analytical and creative problem solving skills
  • Capable of maintaining a positive attitude while ABC
  • Being comfortable in a construction environment 
  • Ability to work well with others that are on your work team 

Required Experience:

  • 1 to 2 years minimum Sales in Construction related industries background preferred
  • Ability to work outdoors as needed 
  • Must be willing and able to climb ladders and stairs in order to inspect properties 
  • Computer skills including Google, Microsoft and Office programs
  • College degree in Business, Engineering or Marketing preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal (English) communication skills required
  • Excellent customer service skills required
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license
  • Thrive in a team environment 

Salary and Benefits:

Pay is commiserate with experience. Florida Solar One Account Managers are salaried employees with commissions/bonuses as goals are met. Florida is a Right to Work state with employees given a 90 probationary period to obtain tenure. Once achieved company benefits may include:

Inbound & Online Marketing Manager 

Florida Solar One  is a solar energy design build corporation with operational focus in the Florida Keys. Core sales channels and markets include residential, light commercial and government installation, design and service solutions.

The top candidate will be multi-skilled and prepared to make an immediate impact in as many of the core business channels as possible. Full time salary commensurate with experience plus bonuses will provide the foundation and motivation for the strong leader we seek to help exceed company forecasts and growth. Candidate will have a mastery of communications including oral and written messages of value to our prospective clients.

Essential skills and prime focus include the ability to manage a marketing budget, increase online presence, improve sales funnel and expand opportunities with inbound and outbound marking tools.

QUALIFICATIONS

The Marketing Manager should have 2~5 minimum experience and/or a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or Engineering.

Experience in technical sales, media relations, strong graduate level writing, and communication skills are a must.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND CORPORATE NEEDS:

  • Lead and manage all inbound marketing sales channels
  • Improve Social Media presence and drive growth on company’s behalf
  • Regularly develop/write content, post events and photos
  • Manage all web site based lead management proposals and estimates
  • Search Engine Optimization (SEO) skills are CRUCIAL
  • Proven experience with Google AdWords campaigns
  • Experience with social media campaigns
  • Sales calls, in home and office technical presentations
  • Lead and build a sales force of highly motivated closers

Mandatory skills:

  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
  • Excellent phone and writing/typing skills.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and basic P&L accounting knowledge.
  • Experience in sales funnel management including qualifying, estimating, purchasing, and vendor management.
  • Sales management oversight for all written quotes, publications, RFQ, sales proposals, etc.

Preferred and advanced skills:

  • Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) preferred
  • Graphical artistry (HTML, flash, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Experience in major accounts and consultive team selling

Electrical and Mechanic Installation Teammate(s)

The Electrical & Mechanical Teammate assist and perform work at the job site.  Teammates are responsible for the installation and operations of all solar and electrical components from start to finish.  The Mechanical Teammate is responsible for all roof top solar panel installation work.  Both positions require working with other Teammates, insuring quality workmanship from start to finish. The Electrical & Mechanical Teammates must be organized, professional and handle all electrical and mechanical installation tasks.

The ideal candidate will find him or herself immersed in an educational environment as they grow and become more and more responsible for ensuring the company’s strategies are always the top priority for all installation services. All Teammates interact directly with customers and are responsible for ensuring our products are installed safely, properly and on time without exception.

Some travel in Monroe County may be expected. Florida Solar One has active installation and service work from Key West to Ocean Reef. Employees are required to submit to a criminal history check, drug screening and obtain any work related clearances from the state of Florida and USA to be employed at FS1.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear communications regarding the mission, goals and values of Florida Solar One on each job site
  • Assist with the installation of solar panels and electrical systems at FS1 customer’s residential or commercial properties.
  • Ensure work performed is done in a neat workman like condition compliant with current NEC and local codes.
  • Interface with management to ensure compliance with performance ratios and completion of projects timely and profitably
  • Participate in continuing education/certification training sessions for  Teammates, crew members and staff
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Perform weekly/monthly safety & quality control inspections
  • Recruiting: Ability to recruit top talent for our install crew (a high priority)
  • Troubleshoot technical issues for his/her crew. Provide technical assistance for other crews as necessary
  • Attentive to emails and phone calls from management and his/her office teammates.

Required Skills:

  • Must be competent and knowledgeable in operations policies and procedures.
  • Willing to work in excess of 40 hours per week and on Saturdays if called upon to do so.
  • Be highly motivated with good communication skills and capable of leadership by example.
  • Ability to read and interpret one line and CAD drawings and electrical schematics. (CAD operator, sketch up or similar a big advantage)
  • Able to perform advanced electrical calculations.
  • Knowledge of 2017~2023 NEC and ability to navigate it.
  • Must be willing to work in high places. Our installations are on rooftops, and subsequently, you will be on them.

Required Experience:

  • Experience with project management and construction experience required (3+ years preferred)
  • High school diploma or GED and two years of formal technical training. Completion of NABCEP solar specific training is expected but can be provided at US Solar Institute for the exceptional candidate if not already complete. (NABCEP or UL Certified PV Installer a bonus)
  • Two years of experience in the installation, repair and maintenance of electrical, HVAC, solar thermal and or solar PV systems, equipment and fixtures from blueprints, schematics and sketches or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience
  • 30 Hour OSHA- Supervisor Safety course certification (course provided upon employment if not already in hand)

Salary and Benefits

Pay is commiserate with experience and is based on an hourly rate, paid weekly.  Longer term Teammates become salary based with benefits issued based on qualification, abilities and responsibilities.  All Florida Solar One Teammates earn from $18 to $35+/hour.  This is $37,500 to $75,000 annually. Florida is a Right to Work state and all employees are given a 90 probationary period to obtain tenure. Once achieved company benefits may include:
